In 2017, the Danish government, together with the public Danish hospital owners, the clinical cancer departments, the universities and the Danish Cancer Society, took the first and decisive step in establishing a National Comprehensive Cancer Center (DCCC) for cancer research and treatment, gathering management and professional capacities within cancer and healthcare in Denmark.
