FAQ

Danish Comprehensive Cancer Center (DCCC) and Danish Multidisciplinary Cancer Groups (DMCG.dk) hope to see you at the 4th Danish Cancer Research Days at Comwell in Kolding on August 25 and 26, 2022. We invite all those interested to send in abstracts on research projects, clinical trials or other research activities related to cancer.

From abstract to poster
Every year, more than 100 researchers have the opportunity to present their research to the many hundreds of participants at the Danish Cancer Research Days. It is a unique opportunity to spread knowledge across both geography and research area.

Last year, we were challenged by corona and had to hold the poster session online. This year, we strongly return with a physical poster session. From the submitted abstracts, our interdisciplinary committee selects the researchers, who are given the opportunity to transform their abstract into a poster. At the same time, we have chosen to expand the poster session, so that this year a number of posters will also be selected for short flash talks.

We pay tribute to the good communication. We do this by awarding a dissemination price to a researcher who, through the design of his/hers poster, is particularly good at making the research easily accessible to the participants at the conference. We are very much looking forward to seeing creative solutions that find their way to the poster session at this year's Danish Cancer Research Days.

If your abstract has been accepted and you have questions about the design of records or the like, we recommend taking a look at our FAQ.

For selected groups to be presented on stage
In connection with the Danish Cancer Research Days, seven younger researchers will have the opportunity to present their research from the main stage at the session 'Current Danish Cancer Research in the Spotlight'.

After the deadline for submission of abstracts, an interdisciplinary assessment committee will select the seven abstracts based on an overall assessment of the study:

  • cancer relevance and generalisability
  • research results and quality
  • project perspectives
  • news value
  • national embedding

In addition this year, for the first time, we have chosen to expand the reach of some additional selected posters with short flash talks, which will be held from a smaller stage during the poster session.
