The National Centre for Cancer Survivorship and General Late Effects focuses on risk factors such as anxiety and depression as general late effects among adults to detect which cancer survivors risk developing severe late effects. The purpose is to prevent and reduce late effects making sure cancer survivors have a good everyday life.
Research areas include the factors of pre diagnosis health for the course of the disease and risk of late effect as well as prevention of late effects amongst survivors in certain risk groups and the planning of follow-up strategies.
The research centre is located at Rigshospitalet under the management of Professor and Consultant Christoffer Johansen.
